There are several things wrong with you podcast...
Tip #2: Making home-made pet treats tends to be quite pricey and are ridiculous if you plan on making them healthy or organic.
Tip #4: Health Insurance, the only affordable plan at $10/month only covers accidents. When you start to include regular annual exams and specialized care (cancer, normal aging issues) it gets upwards $30-$75/month.
Also, Tip #1- I'd like to add that many discount and dollar stores carry pet toy and supplies.
Finally, pets are just expensive. There is no getting around it. We being frugal with a large-breed dog have spent over $2,000 this current year.
